WEEK 4 DISCUSSION POST
Thinking about what you have thus far learned and with particular reference to the case studies from your “Managing crises” textbook answer the following questions:
Which kind of situations the Incident command process is best suited to handle?
What kind/s of leadership is needed to make ICS function effectively?
Howitt, A. M., & Leonard, H. B. (Eds.). (2009). Managing Crises: Responses to Large-Scale Emergencies. CQ Press.
CASE STUDY 2
This case study is about the 9/11 Pentagon attack and it’s from: Howitt, A. M., & Leonard, H. B. (Eds.). (2009). Managing Crises: Responses to Large-Scale Emergencies Responses to Large-Scale Emergencies. CQ Pres.
The case study is made up of two parts. The first part is the case study and the other part reports on the key actors in the 9/11 Pentagon attack and a chronology of the events (this part is meant to give you an overview of the entire case).
#3) What prerequisite preparations were necessary for the positive results to occur? Page 235 of textbook.
Please separate the questions and responses by subheadings. I will try to find the textbook online, if you can also I will greatly appreciate your help in finding the textbook because I only have the actual book.
