How do Bentham and Smith define virtue and a path to the common good?

Based on the readings:
1) How do Bentham and Smith define virtue and a path to the common good?
2) How does Smith’s theory of virtue compare with that of utility maximization (“greatest good” principle)? Explain the main argument in contemporary language (i.e., as if you’re explaining it to your roommate).
For Book IV, chpt. 2 in particular:
3) What are Smith’s arguments in favor of, and against, free trade? “Free” as opposed to what?
4) What is the invisible hand?
5) Is the economy infinitely expandable?
